Where I cover

Ealing, Hanwell, Northfields, West Ealing, Perivale, Acton and Chiswick are covered at the rates above with no travel charge. I do take bookings further out, though for those I usually ask for either two visits a day or a booking of five days or more, so that the journey makes sense at both ends. Get in touch and I will quote you.

Cheaper than a cattery, and your cat never leaves home

A fortnight of daily visits comes to £252, and your cat never leaves the flat. Two weeks of boarding in London averages around £457, plus the carrier, the drive, and a cat who spends the first two days hiding under something.

Every visit is covered by £1m public liability insurance and I am DBS checked. You get a written report with photos or a short video before I leave, every single time.

Fifteen families have booked me again and again. You can read all my reviews on Rover.

Prices are starting points; your quote is confirmed after a quick chat. Simple oral/topical meds are included.

Instant quote (estimate)

Get a ballpark figure. I’ll confirm after a quick chat and a free meet & greet.

No travel charge in Ealing, Hanwell, Northfields, West Ealing, Perivale, Acton and Chiswick. Further out is welcome; get in touch and I will quote you.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rated by West London cat parents

Loved by cats, trusted by humans

“Sam is so fabulous that I feel at ease to leave my nervous cat with her. She sent me videos and photos and updates every visit. And found the house as clean as before we left. She spent time to comfort and calm my nervous and territorial cat.”
— a nervous cat’s human
“Her prompt and consistent updates with photos and videos… she made sure I knew she was there spending quality time with Rosie, and not just feeding her and cleaning the litter box… not only routine care but a great nurturing environment filled with playful engagement and attentive grooming.”
— Rosie’s human

FAQ

How do bookings work?

Send your dates and postcode. I’ll confirm availability and your estimate. If you’re happy to go ahead, I’ll reserve your dates and arrange a free meet & greet before the first visit to run through routines, meds and keys.

No deposit required. Full payment is due 24 hours before the first visit (or immediately if your booking starts within 48 hours). On peak dates (bank holidays, Christmas and New Year) visits are +£3 and overnights are £78. A second cat is free and a third cat or more is +£5 per visit. Bookings of 14 nights or more are £18 per 30-minute visit, £27 per 60-minute visit and £64 per night, and there is no extra charge for booking at short notice. There is no travel charge in the areas I cover.

Optional: you can complete the vet authorisation & emergency consent now to speed things up.

Do you hold keys?

Yes, keys are stored securely off-site with coded tags (no addresses). Key pick-up/return is included (no fee), and I can hold a key for future bookings if you prefer. Please also tell me in advance if anyone else will have access to your home during the booking, for example cleaners, builders, family or letting agents.

What’s your cancellation policy?
  • 7+ days before the first visit: free (full refund / no charge).
  • 24 hours–6 days before: 20% cancellation fee (I refund 80%; or invoice 20% if unpaid).
  • Less than 24 hours before: 50% cancellation fee.
  • After the booking begins, completed visits are non-refundable.
  • If you cancel once the booking has begun, visits I have not yet carried out are refunded under the same rule above (20% if you give 24 hours or more; 50% if less).

Peak/bank-holiday surcharges are non-refundable once applied. If I cannot get in to carry out a visit, it may be charged as a completed visit.

Bookings are agreed at a distance, so you also have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The detail is in the Terms & Conditions.

What happens if you are ill and cannot come?

I will tell you as soon as I can, and refund every visit I have not carried out, in full. Where possible I will suggest a vetted replacement sitter for you to approve; they carry their own insurance and would arrange things with you directly. You are never obliged to accept a substitute.

Are you insured/DBS checked?

Absolutely! Public liability insurance up to £1m (Protectivity, policy #444900301998) and a current DBS. I also hold a Pet First Aid Level 2 (VTQ) Certificate and a Cat Care Level 2 (VTQ) Certificate.

Who pays the vet in an emergency?

Vet costs are yours, but you will not be left stuck. I will try to reach you first. If I cannot and your cat needs help, I can pay the vet and invoice you, and I ask to be reimbursed within 14 days. For anything likely to go over £250 I will make every effort to reach you or your emergency contact before authorising it.

What does a Care Report include?

After each visit you’ll get a short message with time in/out, food & water, litter, play/enrichment, meds (if any), and 2–4 photos or a quick clip.

What insurance do you carry? How are claims handled?

Policy: Protectivity Pet Business Insurance — Policy #444900301998.

  • Public Liability: £1,000,000 any one occurrence (AXA XL).
  • Care, Custody & Control of Animals / Non-negligent care: up to £100,000 any one occurrence.
  • Keys / alarms: up to £10,000 (no excess).
  • Professional Indemnity: £1,000,000 (in the aggregate).
  • Employers’ Liability: not included (solo operator; no staff).
  • Excesses: £100 for injury/damage; £50 for Animals cover; £0 for Keys/Alarms.

If something happens: please contact me first, and I’ll notify the insurer. Claims handler (Woodgate & Clark): petbusiness@woodgate-clark.co.uk, +44 1732 520273. Please reference “Protectivity – Policy 444900301998”.

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16.08.2026

About me. I trade as ChitCat, a sole trader. Correspondence by email; based in Ealing, West London, full address available on request. You can reach me at hello.chitcat@gmail.com.

Bookings & Payment. No deposit required. Your booking is confirmed once I confirm availability in writing. Full payment is due 24 hours before the first visit (or immediately for bookings starting within 48 hours). Peak dates (bank holidays, Christmas and New Year) are charged at £3 per visit extra and £78 per overnight. A second cat is included; a third cat or more is £5 per visit. Bookings of 14 nights or more are charged at £18 per 30-minute visit, £27 per 60-minute visit and £64 per night. Bookings made within 48 hours of the first visit carry no extra charge. There is no travel charge in the areas listed on the pricing section of this site. Prices shown are indicative and confirmed in your quote.

Changes & Cancellations.
7+ days before the first visit: free (full refund / no charge).
24 hours–6 days before: 20% cancellation fee (I refund 80%; if not yet paid, I invoice 20%).
Less than 24 hours before: 50% cancellation fee (I refund 50%; if not yet paid, I invoice 50%).
After the booking begins, completed visits are non-refundable; remaining days are refunded per the same rule above (20% if ≥24h; 50% if <24h).
Peak/bank-holiday surcharges are non-refundable once applied. Missed access may be charged as a completed visit.

Your cancellation rights as a consumer. Because bookings are agreed at a distance (by email, WhatsApp or the website form), you normally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If your booking starts inside that 14 day window, you are asking me to begin the service during it, and you accept that the cancellation fees above may apply. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Keys & Access. Keys are stored securely off-site with coded tags (no addresses). Key pick-up/return is included (no fee). You are responsible for accurate access info (codes, fobs). I can hold keys securely for future bookings if you prefer. Please tell me in advance if anyone else will have access to your home during the booking, for example cleaners, builders, family or letting agents.

Pet Health & Emergencies. You authorise me to seek veterinary care if needed; I will use your nominated vet where possible. You are liable for veterinary costs. You can pre-authorise emergency vet care here.

Paying the vet. I will try to reach you before any treatment. If I cannot reach you and your cat needs help, I may pay the vet myself and invoice you, and I ask to be reimbursed within 14 days. For anything likely to cost more than £250, I will make every effort to reach you or your emergency contact before I authorise it.

Medication. I administer basic meds as instructed by you or your vet. I am not a veterinarian and cannot give injections unless that is agreed with me in advance.

Home Care. Light home care is included (plants, bins, blinds/lights). I cannot accept responsibility for property faults (plumbing, electrics, alarms) outside my control.

Photos & Updates. I send you a photo or video update privately after each visit. That is part of the service and needs no separate permission.

Using photos publicly. I will only use photos or videos of your cat in marketing or on this website if you give me separate written consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing me, and I will stop using them.

If I cannot attend. If illness, injury or anything else stops me completing your booking, I will tell you as soon as I can. I will refund every visit I have not carried out, in full. Where possible I will suggest a vetted replacement sitter for you to approve. Any replacement carries their own insurance and would agree arrangements with you directly, so your contract for those visits would be with them and not with me. You are never obliged to accept a substitute.

When I can decline or end a booking. I may refuse a booking, or end one that has already started, if a cat is aggressive in a way that makes safe care impossible, if medical or behavioural needs were not disclosed to me, if the property is unsafe or not as described, or if I was not told that someone else has access to it. If that happens I will refund any visits I have not carried out.

Liability. Public Liability insurance via Protectivity (Policy #444900301998). I am not liable for pre-existing conditions or for damage caused by third parties with access to the premises.

Governing Law. England & Wales. Complaints are welcome, so please email hello.chitcat@gmail.com.
